97 ford escort,need help?

changed spark plugs,wires,checked starter,fuses,fuel line and filter,have gas to fuel arm,still wont start it turns over like its about to start but doesnt.Could it be the coil pack?how can you tell?97 ford escort,need help?yes , pull the coil wire off of the distributer, stick a screw driver in the end if it have somebody turn the ignition while you hold the metal end of the screwdriver close to something metal. leave enough of a gap for the voltage to spark btween the screwdriver and the metal. if the coilpack is bad it will not spark when the car is being started.97 ford escort,need help?pull aplug wire and see if you are getting spark Sounds like a bad ignition module97 ford escort,need help?not tryin to be a smarta** but dude, it's a ford!!! but really could be the ignition switch. if you can't firgure it out on your own, take it to a mechanic
