Engine coolant around the spark plugs on a Chevy S10 what does it mean?

Hello I have a 2000 Chevrolet S10 Extended cab 2WD 4Cylinder 2.2 liter Flex Fuel L4 VIN %26quot;5%26quot;

with over 100K Miles

I was doing a little tune up on my truck because it started to performed very poorly whenever i started it would turn over with very low power and when i put the gears on reverse or drive the truck would start to tremble as if it was going to die out but it didn't it just lacked a lot of power and then would give me trouble accelerating specially on a hill, eventually when i was changing the spark plugs i didn't notice to much wear or black stains around them but on the last spark plug to the back of the engine i noticed a lot of fluids around the area where the plug connects to the cylinder and where the wire connects.

I discovered that it was engine coolant from a leak that started around that area and got to the spark plug so my deduction here is that it may be the link to why my vehicle started to act strange, i also noticed before i made that gruesome discovery that the side of the Radiator next to the battery had coolant stains spilling almost as if there was a leak that it was spilling to the sides with a very little flow not major since it didn't caught my eye till i got a closer look at it.

So far i never noticed the truck overheat or get the smell of burning coolant but 2 days before the truck let me down i started to notice a strange smell of something else burning right around the center of the dashboard where the radio is, a kind of smell like burning plastic like an electrical problem not mechanical.

What i want to know is how severe of a problem are we talking now to see this leakage?

Is it going to be a time BIG expense consuming procedure to fix this problem or is it something that can be fixed on your own?

If not then it will mean i bought a god damned lemon.Engine coolant around the spark plugs on a Chevy S10 what does it mean?It means you have a coolant leak or maybe two leaks.

The one at the radiator and the one showing up at the back.

Is the spark plug one near a heater hose?

You have to figure out where the leaks are and fix them.

Hope it isn't the head gasket but at least if it is the head gasket, it sounds like it's an external head gasket leak.

Have it pressure tested and fixed.

Good luck.Engine coolant around the spark plugs on a Chevy S10 what does it mean?it could only mean 1 thing and that,s a leak.probably the head gasket is leaking on the outside. you can change it yourself if you got the know-how and the tools but you won,t know what,s wrong until you get the head pulled weather the head or block is cracked or the head. it can run into some money if you let the garage change it. the labor is what gets you then your looking at the parts too. it might not be too serious right now but it will get worse. once a head gasket starts to leak then they just don,t seal back up, they get worse as you drive it. if your money is tight right now and you can,t afford to have your truck broke down then try some bars-leak. i used it before with much success i might add.
